API overview
Build early payment into your own product.
Vender is building an API so that buyers with their own systems, accounting platforms and banks can offer early payment inside their own products, with Vender handling the financing, checks, payouts and bookkeeping behind it.
The API is in development. This page describes what it will cover; the full reference will appear here when version 1 is released.
Building blocks
- Clients: create a buyer company and invite its administrator.
- Suppliers: register a buyer's supplier and invite it.
- Invoices: send approved supplier invoices to Vender.
- Early payment: get a quote, commit an invoice, let the supplier accept.
- Status: payouts, what is owed and repayments, from Vender's ledger.
- Events (webhooks): invoice committed, supplier accepted, paid out, repaid.
Security
- A key per partner, limited to its own customers and to what the key allows.
- Signed webhooks.
- Requests that change something carry a unique key, so a retried request never creates a duplicate payout.
- Every call is logged.
- A sandbox environment with test data before live keys are issued.
